Weekly Social Skills Groups for Teens and Young Adults

UPDATE October 2023

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will not be running social groups this Fall, 2023. We are hoping to have social groups back up and running in the Spring! If you would like to be included on our email list to learn about future programs, please send us an email to: info@advancedpragmatics.com.

Advanced Pragmatics Social groups are designed for neurodiverse kids, teens, and young adults with high functioning autism and other social challenge,  who want to further develop their social skills, independence, and confidence. This Spring we will be offering two social groups: Older Elementary and Young Adults. The elementary group will focus on building relationships, conversational skills, self-advocacy, executive functioning, and non-verbal communication while the young adult group will focus more on life after high school and new social challenges they may come across including finding employment, working with co-workers, and independent living. Taught by a licensed speech language pathologist assistant with supervision from Brenna King, licensed speech-language pathologist, clients will receive expert social skills training in a highly functional environment. Groups will meet weekly at Rush Park in Los Alamitos at the times listed below.

Older Elementary Group

For students in 4th-6th grade who wish to make new friends and better their social communication skills.

Young Adult Group

For young neurodiverse men and women ages 17-23 who desire to improve their social communication, job interview skills, and become more independent.

*If you are a new client, you must apply online before attending. Space is limited and admission to groups is not guaranteed.

* We are not currently accepting payment through insurance, which is why we keep our prices low. We are able to offer you a super bill, which you can then share with your insurance provider.
